Midthunder is part of the Fort Peck Assiniboine Tribe. The majority of her childhood in Santa Fe where her mother employed in a casting business and she attended an Academy for Technology and the Classics. Amber is of Native American ancestry on her father's side. Both members are of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber has been adopted with an adopted mom, and so Amber has no known mixed heritage.
